Honey Honey Sazerac

Resolve to drink better. Artificial flavors are OUT, tea based syrups are IN. Check out our delicious take on a sophisticated favorite, The Honey Honey Sazerac. Sweet from the organic apple, sturdy from the whiskey and bitters.

For the syrup:

1 cup sugar 
25 g Honey Honey herbal tea
8oz water

For the cocktail:

1oz Honey Honey simple syrup

2oz rye whiskey

1/4 oz absinthe 

2 dashes bitters 

Lemon twist

 

Step one: Make the syrup

Put the sugar & Honey Honey Herbal Tea in a pot. Add 8oz of water. Bring to a simmer and stir to dissolve the honey. Turn of the heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Strain through a fine mesh sieve. Squeeze in the citrus. Stir.
 
 
Step two: Mix the cocktail

Combine the rye whiskey, bitters, absinthe & Honey Honey Simple Syrup. Pour into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
