The dry corridors of Nicaragua are regarded as conducive for hibiscus growth. It is a crop that prefers warmer climates and does not require much irrigation.
This hibiscus grows in the León province of Nicaragua. Doselva began their relationship with the hibiscus producer in 2020. Their farm, called La Mirada, is located in León at an altitude of 135 meters above sea level. It is a short cycle crop so it allows the producer to grow basic grains as well during the year.
