Salted Caramel Oolong Latte

Salted Caramel Syrup

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

6 tbsp unsalted butter at room temperature

1 cup heavy cream, warmed

1/2 tsp salt


Directions

  1. In a heavy bottom pan, add granulated sugar and place over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring constantly until the sugar is fully melted and turns dark amber color.
  2. After the sugar has fully melted, take the pan off heat and add butter, stirring constantly until the butter has mixed and fully combined.
  3. Slowly whisk the warmed heavy cream.
  4. Return the pan to medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the salt.


Palampur Oolong tea brewing

1 tbsp Palampur Oolong tea

4 oz water at 200F

Brew for 2-3 minutes

Make a latte

Mix 4 oz brewed tea with 4 oz choice of milk. Add 1 oz salted caramel syrup. Steam or serve iced.
